Geopolitical overview - how it all started
In a down of a new geopolitical reality that is being born in front of our eyes, where international relations and balance of power are being radically shifted towards the east, it is vital for any country to be aware of that geopolitical shift, and to designate its future policies according to it.
Here in Serbia, however, as in many other countries, that shift is going unnoticed. Actually, that is not the first (and I am sure, not the last) time a major change is passing by unnoticed here. In 1989, when the Berlin wall fell, and with it the Soviet grip over the Eastern Europe, everyone saw that the West had emerged victorious from decades of struggle against USSR, and most importantly, against socialist ideology. However, in Serbia, eyes were still looking towards Moscow, and the ruins of once mighty empire. Serbia failed to see the wall collapsing, and it collapsed on it. We all know what the aftermath of that overlook was.
It is that inability to spot a change when it happens that made me want to speak louder, to try to open people’s eyes before the new world that is being born. I created this site in order to provide one view, my view, on the current geopolitical situation in Europe, and the world, and to give a possible prediction, as to where will the current events lead to. We live in a time of great change, and I will try to bring the events that are reflecting this change closer to my readers. I hope that the future readers will enjoy reading my analysis, and that it will help them understand the times we live in.
